Cantilever Ossa
and other specialities
The 1971 Ossa 250 MAR was really a very competitive bike, but as Mick left to Yamaha, was not much more improved.
In 1973 Cliff Holden, the UK Importer, asked Eric Cheney to
modify the twinshocker into a cantilever mono. I read, that 7 were built and
their performance seemed to be great.
John Reynolds also rode on a cantilever Ossa 244cc, beating works rider Thore
Evertson from Sweden. Ossa tried different mods and angles for its twinshocks.
Why did they not copy this very nice bike???

Beautiful collectors bike ! | the other side, |
Big questions: Could I ride this bike in Classic Twinshock Trials?? from the year built yes, but from point of view, that only twinshocks are allowed...???
There were others improving the Ossas like Bob Golner. His frame was lighter.

1978 in the US, Joe Bolger was asked to improve the Ossa. Still Twinshock, but with a lever causing progression
