Honda TLR 250 Repsol

by Dani Kronenberg

Ok, he did it again. Not only is Dani a great trials rider, but moreover he is a gifted mechanic.

He built several race scooters for offroad race called "Trottinet", from 85cc to 500cc till 1000cc (with a Yamaha FZR 1000 engine), on which he also won in all classes. Link to video clip

After the nice TY 250 (sold to his friend Werner)

 and the rare XTY 500,

he now built a Honda TLR 250 Repsol during winter 2014/15

Dani is a perfectionist. The footpegs were already lowered and back, but he didn't like the "poor" welding result. So he cut the frame, welded new plates and fitted Beta peg holders. They are not only held by the 2 screws, but also supported by correct fitting of the welded plates in the frame. Furthermore, as soon as Dani saw the new Beta 2015 had black peg holders, instead of the alu ones (which I like), he invested another money to have the black ones...

I visited him beginning of March 2015. The Honda is almost finished, waiting for the tank and seat coming back from the paint shop.

looks like new Honda should build it again

waiting for the tank to have the finished bike,
